Teen Wolf season 3, episode 13, titled “Anchors,” airs tonight at 10 p.m. ET on MTV. This is the mid-season premiere episode, which returns us to Beacon Hills and catches us up with everything that’s going on inside the minds of our main trio.
At the end of season 3, episode 12, “Lunar Ellipse,” Allison, Stiles, and Scott sacrificed themselves for their parents. In the end, they succeeded and actually managed to come out the other side alive. Alive, but not necessarily well.
The sacrifice had its consequences, and one of those consequences was a darkness that formed around their hearts. This darkness will be something they’ll feel for the rest of their lives, and it could have some interesting side effects.

From the first episode specifically, we also saw Scott losing control of his powers in the middle of the hallway and Stiles having to drag him into an empty room.
The official synopsis reads:
Scott, Stiles and Allison suffer side effects from the ritual sacrifice; Sheriff Stilinski searches through old cases.
