The highly anticipated Teen Wolf season 3 kicked off tonight with the premiere of “Tattoo.” Check out a brief recap and discuss the episode with fellow fans!

Fans of Teen Wolf have been counting down to the season premiere for what feels like eternity, and tonight our dreams finally came true. “Tattoo” aired at 10 PM on MTV, and it certainly was an explosive start to the new season.

The episode started off with an epic motorcycle race with a very injured Isaac and the mysterious girl that is rescuing him. And they’re chased by none other than the Alpha Pack Twins! And can we just take this second to say, holy crap, look at their transformation! Then we see Scott getting a tattoo but, maybe unsurprisingly, it heals and Scott is tattooless once again.

We then see Allison and Lydia talking as they’re heading to a double date. We learn that Allison has been in France and Jackson’s dad moved him to London. But before the girls can make it to their destination, a deer runs straight into their car!

The next day at school, we learn that Lydia is attempting to get over Jackson, and as soon as the twins show up at school, she’s already got her sights set on them. Allison, on the other hand, is just trying to focus on herself. She’s not ready to have a boyfriend just yet.

Derek is looking for Boyd and Erica, so he can’t help Isaac, who is now in the hospital. Mama McCall calls Scott, and he’s pulled out of class right before a flock of crows crashes through the window and attacks the student and the new English teacher, Ms. Blake. (And what an entrance, right!?) The episode really kicks off at this point, especially when Kali shows up in the hospital and drugs Isaac. The mysterious woman, however, is nowhere to be found.

We also meet Deucalion and Ennis in the hospital, though Deucalion just passes himself off as a blind man. Ennis, on the other hand, exposes himself as a werewolf, but Derek saves Scott and rescues Isaac. Derek wants Scott to stay out of his problems and focus on school, and Scott agrees — but only if Derek helps him keep his tattoo. How does Derek do that? With a blow torch, of course.

In the final few minutes, we learn that Deucalion is actually afraid of Scott, and he wants to kill him. However, he’s not going to do it himself — he’s going to get Derek to kill him. He explains all of this to the mysterious woman, right before he kills her.

In the final few shots, we see the bruises on Allison and Lydia’s arms, and they appear to form a symbol. The image fades into the same symbol on the floor of an empty room, where Boyd and Erica are being held.

Next week’s episode, “Chaos Rising,” will air at 10 PM EST on MTV.
