San Diego Comic-Con 2016 was bittersweet for Teen Wolf fans, but before we say goodbye, we have season 6 to contend with. Get all the new information here!

If you haven’t heard yet, we have good news and bad news. First up, Teen Wolf season 6 will bring us the series finale. After season 6 is over, the show will be done for good and everyone will be going their own way.

The good news is, Cody Christian will be reprising his role on the show as Theo Raeken. He’ll be returning a changed man, but don’t expect him to be completely different. His number one goal is still to survive. There’s no way he wants to go back to hell.

And don’t forget to watch the Teen Wolf season 6 trailer.

But what new information did we learn from the panel and press room this year?

  1. We will see the moment of breaking out of the tank by the Nazi werewolf.
  2. They’ll literally be digging up Theo.
  3. The Ghost Rider mythology is tied into real world mythology of mass disappearances, and we’ll see how this effects the rest of the world. Our heroes will be venturing well outside of Beacon Hills this season.
  4. This season will be another big mystery, on top of a ghost story.
  5. We will be seeing what happened to Theo in Hell and how it affected him. Cody Christian says “I can share with you right now, it’s terrifying. It’s pretty brutal. It’s definitely changed him. I think he’s coming back as a broken man.”
  6. Theo is not welcomed warmly back into Beacon Hills, but he will be doing his damnedest to repair his relationships with the pack in order to stay alive.
  7. Cody Christian believes that Theo was a victim of indoctrination and conditioning by the Dread Doctors — he’s not a natural-born psychopath.

  8. Liam’s temper issues are less prominent — as he grows and figures out who he is, he’s able to control it more and more.
  9. Liam and Mason are still best friends despite all that happened.
  10. Hayden and Liam’s relationship is more mature this season, too.
  11. It’s an unspoken thing between Scott and Liam that Scott may be passing the mantle to him.
  12. Mason knows how real the supernatural is now, and that urgency is always an underlying factor.
  13. Mason is not constantly worried about being the human anymore because he’s proven himself and he’s trusted by Scott and the pack.
  14. He also uses his intellect and obsession with the supernatural to help the pack defeat their enemies.
  15. When asked what Liam and Mason are going to be up to this year, Khylin Rhambo simply said, “Survive!”
  16. Mason is a sarcastic guy, which is shown more in season 6 amidst the crazy that’s happening.

  17. He’s also very supportive of Liam becoming a leader and helping him get there.
  18. Mason gets up close and personal with the Ghost Riders.
  19. When the Ghost Riders erase someone from memory, no one knows they ever existed, so half the struggle will be the characters working out what they don’t know.
  20. Khylin Rhambo says the Ghost Riders have a darker, more sinister motive than the Dread Doctors.
  21. Jeff Davis also elaborates on the comparison. “The Dread Doctors had an agenda, a real purpose with their experiments creating the beast, whereas the Ghost Riders and the Wild Hunt are existing mythology — “Riders of the Storm” by the Doors is about the Wild Hunt.
  22. Jeff has wanted to do a season where it’s not as bloody but the supernatural stakes are just as high.
  23. This storyline was planned to work around Dylan’s movie schedule, but not around the accident. It’s a pretty Stiles-heavy story, even though he’s missing from a few episodes.
  24. We are going to learn Stiles’ real name. Yes, it’s happening. “There’s a crucial moment in this season where it’s revealed.”
  25. There’s one character’s power in particular which becomes crucial to solving the problem of the ghost riders. We suspect Lydia.
  26. The look of the Ghost Riders is a Western theme – cowboy style, with real horses. Even though Jeff took a step back this season, he had a close hand in making sure the bad guys looked just how he wanted.
  27. Only those who are “marked” by the Ghost Riders can see them, which effects the victims mentally as well.

  28. Theo knows a lot about what is going on in Beacon Hills during season 6. He has some knowledge to offer the good guys, which may or may not be his way back into the pack.
  29. When Theo makes his return, he is NOT affected by the Ghost Riders whatsoever, memory-loss wise. He knows what they do and he knows that he could be the next one taken.
  30. Theo’s personality will be the same — the jerk we love to hate, but with a different motive. He’ll be covering up his true level of humility. “I think it’s difficult, when he makes his return, to look Scott in the eye.”
  31. Lydia is the most mature she’s ever been this season, and she’s dealing with a lot of real world problems this year.
  32. Her powers play in indirectly, tying into other time periods and seeing how those banshees connect to her banshee as she learns from others.
  33. There is a new angle in which Stiles and Lydia interact.
  34. Lydia doesn’t have a front row seat to the Ghost Riders, but she’s analyzing them the most (and there’s a reason why that’s the case).
  35. Malia and Lydia will have great one-on-one scenes as the two strong females left in the pack.
  36. Holland Roden says there have been a lot of conversations about Alzheimer’s in terms of what it’s like to lose memory.
  37. Holland also compared 6A to season 3A.
  38. In terms of graduation, Lydia makes the most mature decisions that benefit Beacon Hills the most, not just herself.
  39. There’s an episode focused on Irish folklore, not just banshees in particular.

  40. Scott feels guilty about being the reason why so many villains come to Beacon Hills, but he also knows so many of them get defeated because he’s there to protect the town. He’s got backup plans if he were ever to leave Beacon Hills.
  41. Tyler Posey reveals that the Ghost Riders will eventually target the entire town of Beacon Hills, in terms of memory loss, and once they target you there’s no escaping them. Little clues might spark memories that were lost, but it’s very rare.
  42. The characters will have to do a lot of convincing to each other about what they think is true, going on gut feelings.
  43. There’s a lot that Scott and the others will do (to themselves, or each other) cerebrally in order to trigger their memories.
  44. Scott being single means that he’s able to give his all to his pack, to helping and nothing gets in the way of him finding a proper solution to saving the world.
  45. The pack splitting up and coming back together solidified them, and you get a sense of how strong they are now.
