Didn’t get a chance to attend San Diego Comic-Con 2014? Missed out on the Teen Wolf panel? No worries! We’ve got you covered.

As usual, the Teen Wolf panel was full of heart-pounding moments and plenty of laughs. But what were the highlights? What were the most important moments? We’ve got our top five list right here!

1. The mid-season trailer

In case you haven’t seen it yet, the mid-season trailer debuted at the Teen Wolf panel and it was not like other trailers we’ve seen before — and we mean that in the best possible way.

The trailer for the second half of Teen Wolf season 4 felt like it was for a movie. It had new characters, big stunts, and plenty of death and destruction. It’s not that we’re necessarily excited for that last one, but it wouldn’t be Teen Wolf without a little bloodshed, right?

2. We’re getting a season 5

And not only are we getting a season 5, but we’re getting 20 whole episodes as well. For the first two seasons, we got 12 episodes each. Then, during season 3, they decided to stretch the season to 24 episodes, breaking it up into two sets of 12.

When the cast and crew entered season 4, they decided to knock the count back down to a solid 12, but it sounds like they may have a better handle on a larger order of episodes. This time, for season 5, we’ll get 20 episodes total, which will be broken down into two sets of 10.

3. We have not seen the last of Danny

That’s right, folks! While Danny has been mysteriously M.I.A. from Beacon Hills for the first half of the season, that doesn’t mean he’s gone for good. After revealing that he knows a lot more about the supernatural creatures of Beacon Hills, Danny sort of… disappeared.

We’re not sure why, and we’re not sure if it’s significant — Jeff Davis and the others were pretty mum when it came to what he’s been up to — but we do know Danny will be back. So keep your eyes open and your fingers crossed!

4. Dylan Sprayberry will be a series regular for season 5

Dylan Sprayberry, who plays brand new beta Liam, will be returning to season 5, and he’ll also become a series regular! He’s the first person Scott has bitten, and he’s got a lot to learn. He also adds a new dynamic to the plot, and we’re excited to see where they take his character in season 5.

Though they didn’t specify in which direction Liam’s story could go, we’re holding out for a strong relationship to develop between Scott and Liam, with some of the other honorary pack members like Stiles, Lydia, and Kira to come in and lend a helping hand with Liam’s transition as well.

5. They’ve talked about Sheriff Stilinski and Mama McCall in the writer’s room

For those of you hoping that Stiles’ father and Scott’s mother get together sometime in the near future, don’t give up just yet. Jeff Davis has said that they’ve talked about the pairing in the writer’s room!

Does that mean it’s going to happen soon? No, not necessarily. But if they’re talking about it, that means they’re considering it, and that’s always the first step toward writing the pairing into the show. Tyler Posey and Dylan O’Brien seemed excited about the prospect, saying their characters would finally become real brothers!
