Sad news in the Teen Wolf fandom today: Jeff Davis has officially left Twitter.

Davis had a strong presence on Twitter, especially recently. He often interacted with fans, dropping little details here and there much to the delight of the fandom as a whole. He also tweeted photos of the cast, including behind-the-scenes pictures and pre-production drawings. Not to mention he’s been kind to Hypable as well, tweeting out a few of our articles to his 50K+ followers.

Yesterday, however, saw him tweeting for a final time before deleting his account.

There’s no official word as to why he did it, though a logical jump would be that it’s because he’s been getting some negative feedback in response to some of his choices regarding the show. The most recent of which seems to be the casting of Felisha Terrell as Kali. The name for the character was taken as an homage to the Hindu goddess, a deity often associated with death and destruction. From what we’ve heard about the character in the show, she’s promising to live up to her name. The problem, however, seems to be in the casting of the actress, who is not of Indian decent.

This isn’t the first time that Davis has had to deal with upset fans who aren’t happy with some of the choices he’s made, one specifically being the lack of background information for Boyd. There was a big to-do earlier in the year regarding this. You can catch up by viewing the article on Gawker.

That previous interaction with the fanbase scared Davis away from Tumblr, which he would have used to give us some extra insider pictures. Instead he stuck with Twitter. Until recently, that is.

As previously stated, we don’t know for certain if this is why he deleted his account, though the official Teen Wolf Tumblr asked if everyone would please stay calm and play nicely. For the time being, you can find official updates there, on the Teen wolf Facebook page, and on the Teen Wolf Twitter.

But maybe if we’re all on our best behavior, he’ll come back. Fingers crossed, Wolf Pack.
