The only thing better than Teen Wolf is more Teen Wolf, right? Well, Executive Producer Jeff Davis admits he’s thought about a spinoff show!

Now, don’t get your hopes up too high. He’s just thought about it, and we all know how busy Teen Wolf keeps him on a day-to-day basis.

But, talking with E! Online, Davis admitted that he thinks it could be a really cool idea.

“I wanted to do it for awhile. If there was ever, I shouldn’t say this because who knows if there would be a chance of it, I wanted to do it as a spinoff, as its own show,” he tells them. “Partly because I wanted to try doing a female character, our version of a Buffy, but the Kitsune myth is just such a good myth.”

Any time you compare a show to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, you better have one or two things in your arsenal to back up the claim. But if someone could pull it off, Davis would certainly be one of the highest contenders. And we definitely wouldn’t be opposed to him trying.

But why the Kitsune myth as opposed to something like the Kanima, which we saw in season 2? “It’s got such interesting stories and it’s such a huge myth, too,” he says. “She’s a shapshifter, but she can sometimes be a beautiful woman or she can be tree or she can shapeshift into a mountain. It’s bizarre and they have all these powers; there’s things like foxfire and it’s the trickster spirit.”

The Kitsune myth definitely has fans excited, as it’s something quite different from the other mythology that we’ve seen previously on the show. The Kitsune myth is Japanese, and it’s certainly going to be taking Teen Wolf in a new direction.

And if that ends up giving us a spinoff show? Count us in.

Be sure to check out the rest of the interview E! did with Jeff Davis, where he talks about Derek’s mission, whether or not Arden Cho (pictured above) is the Kitsune, if Allison, Scott, and Isaac are going to become a love triangle, and much more.
