Hypable attended round tables with Executive Producer Jeff Davis and some members of the cast of Teen Wolf and learned some new tidbits about the rest of season 3.

We got to speak with Teen Wolf Executive Producer Jeff Davis, along with Tyler Posey (Scott), Dylan O’Brien (Stiles), Tyler Hoechlin (Derek), Max Carver (Aiden), Charlie Carver (Ethan), and Crystal Reed (Allison).

Posey was happy to talk about his engagement to his longtime girlfriend, as well as his love for the show and his character in particular. While we’re still confused as to what exactly Scott will become, Posey did say that he is a protégé of Deaton, but made sure to clarify that we don’t know if Scott will indeed become a True Alpha.

He also touched on Scott’s relationship with Derek, saying that Derek is changing more than Scott. They have a brotherly bond, he said, and the two of them will become fighting companions.

O’Brien touched on his character’s mental state in the last few episodes of the first half of season 3, stating that he will be struggling with anxiety more in some upcoming scenes. O’Brien said it was nice to play those scenes because he can relate to those feelings, making it easier to portray.

In addition, O’Brien stated that Stiles will be trying to tell his father about werewolves once again. This time, Cora is with him and although we don’t know if Stiles does go through with it, we do know that he realizes his dad does need to know.

Hoechlin also talked about Derek’s mental state, as well as his ability as an Alpha. Agreeing that he wasn’t a very good Alpha, Hoechlin did say that Derek’s heart is in the right place. “I just think Derek’s life just sucks right now,” he said.

The Carver twins talked about how their role contains a hint of schizophrenia, which we saw when Ethan was looking into the mirror and saw the hallucination of his brother reaching through his stomach.

When asked how they got their respective roles, Max said he was interested in the more violent and angry role, whereas Charlie wanted to try something very different from his previous work. Charlie went on to say that Aiden ends up hitting a female character pretty hard in an upcoming episode, which they both said was hard to watch.

When speaking to Davis, we asked what made him decide to go with a Japanese theme for the second half of season 3. He said it was because he always loved the kitsune myth and wanted to include it in the show.

When asked about Boyd and Erica’s relationship, Davis said there was supposed to be more between the two of them.

However, because of Gage Golightly’s work on another show, her role had to be reduced. However, Davis did state that if she was able to come back at any time, he would love to do a Boyd and Erica flashback scene.

Speaking of the second half of season 3, we learned that this will be the darker half of the season, the psychological thriller to the first half’s action-packed tone. We’re also meant to meet a new set of hunters, which will have quite a few females in important roles.

Lastly, when speaking to Reed, she commented on being conscientious about being a role model and doing her best to be someone positive young girls can look up to. Commenting on Allison in particular, she said she loves that she can still be girly and tough at the same time.

Speaking of her role in the rest of season 3, she said that Allison is beginning to suspect her father of hiding something, but rather than confronting him about it, she wants to figure it out on her own.

What are you most looking forward to in the second half of ‘Teen Wolf’ season 3?
