Today is the day that the cast and crew gather in their new L.A. home to begin shooting for season 3 of Teen Wolf. We’ve got a gallery of pictures (and plenty of speculation) to celebrate this joyous event!
Executive producer Jeff Davis has been tweeting pictures left and right, tantalizing us with the beginning of season 3 filming. From possible locations to table reading to construction photos, we’ve got them all gathered in one single spot so you can simultaneously ogle and theorize with the rest of us.
First up are the location scouting pictures. Jeff tweeted just four of them, but they’re more than enough to get our gears grinding. In the first set, we’ve got a beautiful and elegant staircase that leads to a hallway with vaulted ceilings. The second picture shows the entrance to a bank vault, while the third is the outside of a building, covered in metal beams, pipes, and fire escapes. The last picture simply shows a concrete hallway with part of the Teen Wolf team working hard, discussing the potential of the site.

What can we gather from these pictures? Not much, unfortunately. Teen Wolf has moved to L.A., which will afford them some better opportunities. Still, they can’t depart too much from the previous feel of the show. The vault in particular is interesting and we have a nagging suspicion that this scene will feature the Alpha Pack. Perhaps we’ll be taken to a nearby city to see where the Alpha Pack originally came from, and these pictures represent that.
Then we’ve got the first reading of the season, and it shouldn’t come as a surprise that everyone is happy to be back together again. Tyler Hoechlin (Derek), Tyler Posey (Scott), and Dylan O’Brien (Stiles) populate the first photograph, arms around each other and all smiles and silly faces. The second picture shows the full table and we can see many of the other actors. Hoechlin takes the forefront of the third picture, with Posey, Holland Roden (Lydia), and Daniel Sharman (Isaac) in the background. Simply labeled “The Brit” when Davis tweeted it out, Sharman occupies the last picture and you can see Crystal Reed (Allison) behind him.

There isn’t too much to infer from these pictures, although it is interesting to take note who is at this first table reading (the actors playing the guidance councilor and Danny jump out in particular) and who is decidedly absent. Even though we knew he wouldn’t be there, it is sad not to see the face of one Colton Haynes (Jackson) among his former co-stars.
A series of drawings done by the production designer occupy the last gallery, along with some schematics and construction photographs. The first picture shows a detailed rendition of the inside of a room, one with a bank vault sized hole in the wall. Three figures square off, though we’re not sure who they are just yet. The one in the foreground, at least, appears to be the Alpha Pack leader. Next up is a plan of Scott’s room, followed by a rough sketch of the bank vault. We then see the crew building the set. The first picture doesn’t reveal anything in particular, but the second one seems to be of someone’s roof.

The first sketch is particularly noteworthy as it’s our first real look into season 3. Although, unfortunately, it doesn’t give too much away. We’re curious as to how important the bank vault will be – a one off hit by the Alpha Pack, or something more significant? – and are desperate to know more about this new pack in general.
Filming begins today, though we have no idea when season 3 will air. The last two seasons took place in June, though with 24 episodes this time around, it’s possible that we’ll get the first 12 episodes a little sooner.
