Teen Wolf season 3 is getting closer and closer, and that means more casting announcements! The show has now cast Secret Circle‘s Shelley Hennig in a mysterious role.

And when we said it was top secret, we weren’t kidding.

E! Online broke the news this morning, stating that Hennig was in fact added to the roster for MTV’s hit supernatural drama. The only problem is that this is just about everything we know about Hennig’s character.

The team behind Teen Wolf is keeping mum about everything to do with the new addition, including her character’s name and purpose for being on the show. And if it’s as top secret as they say, we might not learn anything else until we see Hennig on our screens next year.

Still, it’s nice to know that more ladies are making their way to Teen Wolf, especially after the loss of so many over the past few seasons, including Kate Argent, Victoria Argent, and Jennifer Blake, just to name a few.

Fans will certainly be excited by the addition of another female character, who joins the likes of Arden Cho’s Kira, as well as several new female hunters. Is it possible Hennig is a part of this group? Could she be supernatural, or is she a human that maybe gets caught up in the craziness that will be coming to Beacon Hills?

When we left off at the end of the first half of Teen Wolf season 3, the Nemeton was coming back to life and our three main heroes had sacrificed themselves to save their parents. They survived the ordeal, but they are now changed forever.

And they’re not the only ones. Beacon Hills will now be a literal beacon for the supernatural, with all sorts of interesting and nasty creatures showing up to wreak havoc. The kitsune is going to be featured in season 3, part 2, and the hosts of Not Another Teen Wolf Podcast have taken the time to answer all your questions about the Japenese myth of the were-fox. Keep an eye on the podcast page for episode #42, to be released on Monday!

Teen Wolf will return Monday, January 6 at 10 p.m. EST on MTV.
