Arden Cho is the latest actor to be added to Teen Wolf and will make her appearance in the second half of season 3.

According to E! Online, Arden Cho will pop up in season 3B, which is when the writers will be tackling Japanese mythology.

Although E! says that the character is still unnamed, we learned at San Diego Comic-Con that her name is Kira, as also evidenced by the Tweet below.

According to the article, Cho will have a “heavy recurring role.” Kira is supposedly of Korean and Japanese descent and her arrival “brings a unique new history and a new threat steeped in Asian mythology” to Beacon Hills.

We also learned at SDCC that the second half of season 3 will focus on the kitsune myth in particular. While we don’t know which direction Executive Producer Jeff Davis will take the story, in folklore this creature can shapeshift between a fox and a human.

The human can be a beautiful woman, a young girl, or an elderly man. In fact, the kitsune can take on multiple forms, and can even duplicate the appearance of other people. This could definitely cause some problems for our main characters.

We don’t know much about Kira yet, whether she’ll be a villain or an ally, but it might be safe to assume she’ll be our kitsune. Or perhaps just one of them? Either way, we think Cho will make an excellent addition to the cast going into season 3B.

Arden Cho has made a guest appearance on Pretty Little Liars and is also known for the short Agents of Secret Stuff, as well as lending her voice to the 2013 Tomb Raider game.

What kind of role do you think Kira will have for the second half of ‘Teen Wolf’ season 3?
