The Teen Wolf season 5 winter premiere is right around the corner. We had the opportunity to watch the premiere early, so we’re here to give you a few hints at what is to come.

Teen Wolf season 5, episode 11, “The Last Chimera,” is fast approaching its January 5 debut at 9 p.m. ET on MTV, but the show can never quite come fast enough. To hold you over, here are five moments from the winter premiere we’re sure will get you even more excited for the rest of the season.

(This is your final chance to bow out if you don’t want to know anything about what’s coming up on Teen Wolf.)

1. Stiles confronts Scott

We’ve seen it in plenty of previews, but it doesn’t make it any easier to watch Stiles throw Scott against the wall in anger about his father’s current condition. Fans will be happy this devastating scene is out of the way by the end of the premiere, as that hopefully means the two best friends can start to reconcile their relationship.

2. Chris returns

Much like the above spoiler, we’ve seen this moment in the the trailer for the new season, and it’s nice to also be getting this in the first episode back for Teen Wolf season 5B. We don’t yet know what kind of role Chris will have this season, but we do know he’ll be bring Gerard with him. Ugh.

3. A major problem is solved, but there may be repercussions

The main issue of the episode does get a resolution, but that doesn’t mean all is well in Beacon Hills for our heroes (duh). Despite the problem being solved, there’s just no way of knowing if complications will arise further down the line as a result of past events. We can only hope everything will work out for the best in the end.

4. Someone new begins to ask questions about what’s going on in Beacon Hills

Teen Wolf has always done a great job of slowly revealing the mysteries of Beacon Hills to a variety of characters when the time is right. Not everyone knows the town is a literal beacon for the supernatural, but if things keep going the same way they have been, more and more people will begin to pick up on the stranger aspects of the town. In the premiere, someone new starts to question a strange event and Melissa is the one who needs to tiptoe around the answers.

5. Mason and Liam find themselves in hot water

Liam is still dealing with the fallout of Hayden’s apparent death, though he quickly realizes there may be something else going on there. He and Mason set out for some answers, but then they find themselves in a bit of trouble. Who knows how easy it’ll be to get them out of the situation, but with Parrish’s condition a current hot topic and the Sheriff in the hospital, we have no idea how they’re going to get themselves out of the mess they’re in.

Teen Wolf season 5, episode 11, “The Last Chimera,” airs on Tuesday, January 5 at 9:00 p.m. ET.
