Teen Wolf season 5, episode 10, “Status Asthmaticus,” just finished airing. Check out what happened in the summer finale!

The Teen Wolf summer finale began with Scott explaining he won’t bite Hayden because she’s too weak and he thinks it’ll kill her. He’s insistent there’s another way to fix the issue, but he looks lost as he says it. He grabs his inhaler to stop another asthma attack.

The Jeep breaks down once again, and Stiles is getting real tired of its issues. Between that and the reminder of what he did to Donovan and what Scott said about it, Stiles is at the end of his rope. #RIPRoscoe

At the station, the sheriff and a deputy get a call from Deputy Clark about a suspect who’s loping and then begins running. It chases her off the road, totals her car, and sends the Beacon Hills High sign right through the roof of the school. The Doctors are calling this a success. But who is it?

At the vet’s office, Melissa is trying to help Hayden by medical means, pulling the metal toxins out of her system. Liam is on edge, but they all are — they can feel the supermoon during the day and the effects are even stronger than usual. Sheriff also finds a note from Melissa stuck to Stiles’ ID card, saying it was found at the hospital. This can’t be good.

Malia takes Stiles to the police station, but before he heads in to talk to his father, she tells him she knows about Donovan. It never mattered to her. But it matters to Stiles, and he’s ready to come clean.

Lydia has an epiphany about the story of spectral hunters Kira told her about, so she heads to the library. We finally, finally, finally know what Parrish is. He is part of Odin’s hunt, he’s a bearer of death, a black dog, a Hellhound. Then her Banshee powers kick in and she realizes someone is going to die there. Before she can tell anyone, however, Theo shows up and knocks her out.

Then he heads over to Malia — stark naked no less — and tells her he knows she wants to kill her mother. Scott won’t help, and it’s time someone steps up. Theo wants to help.

Speaking of Scott, he goes to the library to find Lydia, but he’s trapped by a mountain ash circle. Theo is the one pouring it, and we finally have confirmation that he’s not a werewolf. Instead, he’s the first chimera, and he’s part coyote.

Malia heads to the hospital and finds another chimera. This one looks like it’s been bred with a porcupine. Luckily for her (and unluckily for the chimera), Braeden shows up and blows him away. Yes!

Oh, but she has bad news. The Desert Wolf knows she’s alive and is on her way to kill her.

As Melissa works on Hayden, Liam goes after Scott. Between Theo’s manipulation and the supermoon, he’s out of his mind with anger. He can only think of Scott’s broken promise, but Scott knows Theo wants Liam to kill Scott and take his Alpha status so Theo can go ahead and take it from Liam. And Liam’s doing a pretty good job, thanks to the wolfsbane inhaler Theo gave Scott earlier.

Theo continues to make his rounds as he confronts Stiles. He tells him he never lied about coming to Beacon Hills for a pack. Only, he wanted the coyote, the Banshee, the Beta, the Kitsune, and Void Stiles — not Scott. Stiles punches him, but Theo just laughs at him, saying he has to decide between helping Scott and saving his father.

Hayden dies, a mercury tear rolling down her face. Mason breaks the news to Liam, who forgets about Scott and returns to her side. Theo, running out of time, kills Scott, while Stiles finds his father, bloody and beaten, and Parrish takes Hayden away.

In the most emotional scene of the episode, Melissa finds Scott without a pulse for 15 minutes. But she’s not going to give up on him, demanding him to wake up, the roar. He does, and even though we knew they weren’t going to kill the lead character, we’re pretty relieved anyway.

Theo has Lydia in the Dread Doctors’ lair, and he stabs her in the neck to find out where the Nemeton is. This might have some seriously negative effects on Lydia, considering Theo was anything but gentle.

Theo drags Lydia to the Nemeton, injecting each of the dead chimeras with the green liquid from the Doctors’ tanks. He commands them, declaring him to be their Alpha, before stalking off with them in tow.

Finally, the Dread Doctors uncover a picture of La Bete (the beast) behind the wall in one of their lairs.

Teen Wolf season 5 will now be going on hiatus. Filming on season 5B began today, with the series coming back in January 2016 to finish out the final 10 episodes.
