Last night on Teen Mom OG season 1, episode 7, “First Time for Everything,” the series settled into a new beginning with all four moms.
Amber
Matt easily slips into the role of caretaker with Leah, and she seems to like having him around. She even gives Matt permission to marry her mom. Later, Amber’s family comes over to meet Matt.
Crystal comes over and is concerned that Amber is moving too fast. She’s worried that it could be disastrous for Amber. But Amber seems to just brush it all off.
Out to eat at their favorite restaurant, Matt proposes to Amber and she says yes. She tells us that even though this is her second engagement, this is the first one she’s taking seriously.
Amber’s brother calls and is worried about her, he’s concerned that Amber doesn’t know enough about Matt and that he could be taking advantage of her.
Farrah
After dropping Sophia off at school, Farrah heads to Las Vegas for a paid appearance. She also gets a call to do a new TV show about therapy with moms and daughters, so Debbie agrees to do it with her.
Before Simon arrives at the hotel, Farrah tells the producers that she’s having anxiety about him meeting her crazy family. She doesn’t want things to get messed up.
After hosting the party, Farrah talks to Simon about going to LA and meeting her mom. He says he’s fine meeting her mom. Of course, Farrah gets annoyed as soon as her mom arrives and starts acting out.
Maci
Maci and Taylor arrive at Jen and Larry’s house, the producers are surprised when she agrees to be filmed. Maci fills everyone in on the plan that she will film as long as Bentley is left out of it. Ryan and everyone else agrees with it.
The marriage topic comes up again when Maci has dinner with her friend. She says that they don’t talk about it, but she wishes that they were already engaged before the baby comes. Maci doesn’t see in the point of waiting.
At five months pregnant, Maci is excited to find out that they’re having a baby girl. They get a 3D ultrasound and get to see her little face. Afterwards, Taylor meets up with his friends and says he’s thinking about proposing to Maci.
When they go out to dinner, Taylor asks Maci how she feels about not being engaged and she admits it does bother her. Taylor says that he wants a new house, but Maci doesn’t want spend the money or have to settle. The night just ends in a fight.
Catelynn
At home baby Nova gets her first bath, Cate is clearly enjoying her new role. They’re still adjusting to taking care of her but thankful just to have the opportunity.
Cate’s Grandma comes over, and they talk about the issues she’s having with breastfeeding. But Cate is determined to make it work. She’s hopeful that one day Nova and Carly can be close.
Later, Cate gets a package from Teresa with some of Carly’s old baby things. They’re glad that Nova can have a piece of her sister. But Tyler is worried that Teresa hasn’t been responding to his text messages. When Cate calls Teresa later to thank her, they’re relieved to hear how happy Teresa is.
