Last night on Teen Mom OG episode 4, “New Kids on the Block,” two families learned they were expecting.
Maci
With Bentley’s birthday coming up, Maci is busy planning a birthday party. But her and Taylor also have some big news that Maci is pregnant. Their friends are surprised and excited to hear the news. When the topic of marriage comes up, Taylor doesn’t want to rush things, but Maci would rather have a ring on her finger.
When Maci picks up Bentley from Ryan she invites him to the birthday party. He says he’ll think about it.
Although late, Ryan does eventually show up to Bentley’s party. Talking with Ryan’s mom, Maci learns that Ryan plans on breaking up with Shelby.
Back at home, Bentley opens more presents and learns they’re from his new baby brother or sister. But he doesn’t believe them until he sees a picture. It’s hard to tell if he’s excited or overwhelmed with the news.
Talking with Bentley alone, Maci learns he’s worried they’ll have different dads. So Maci tries to reassure him that they will still share lots of things. And of course, he doesn’t want to change diapers either.
Catelynn
At a checkup with her OB, Catelynn gets chastised for gaining weight too quickly. Although the baby seems healthy, they want to make sure that she isn’t overeating.
Tyler tries to talk to Catelynn about eating healthier, but she just wants to enjoy her pregnancy. So he looks into a dietitian to help because he doesn’t want Catelynn getting down about her weight.
Thinking about a summer wedding, Catelynn and Tyler go to look at a venue. And they even put down a deposit to save the date. It gives Catelynn the motivation to keep an eye on her weight. She also reveals that she failed the first gestational diabetes test and has to go take another one.
Catelynn gets a call from Teresa asking if they could have a meeting about their adoption issues in a few weeks, and say that afterwards they could meet with Carly. But both are worried that Tyler could blow up in the meeting.
Amber
Amber’s brother Shawn is graduating from college so she goes on a quick road trip to Nashville with her mom and cousin Krystal. Meanwhile, Gary and Kristina learn that they have a baby on the way. Gary seems more worried about how Amber will take the news than being sensitive to Kristina’s feelings.
Shawn and Amber go out for dinner and he asks about Leah. Even though Amber pays for Leah’s clothes and school, Shawn is worried Gary will take her to court for child support. Amber is still planning on getting custody of Leah anyway.
After school, Gary drops Leah off at Amber’s house. When Gary comments on not wanting to get married but Kristina being pregnant, Amber warns him that everything he says will be on TV.
At lunch with Crystal, Amber says she knows that she and Gary will never be back together now. But it feels like a piece of her life has died. Back at home, Amber breaks down.
