The Teen Choice Awards 2013 ceremony was held last night, and the teens have spoken loud and clear about their favourite movies, TV shows and music groups.
The Teen Choice Awards last night was both an entertaining and emotional affair, hosted by Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale and Glee‘s Darren Criss.
Over 150 million votes were cast by teens and teenage souls around the world, and a very clear trend quickly emerged when the awards were presented: almost every genre of music, TV and film was dominated by a single franchise.
Almost every franchise which scored awards managed to dominate their categories almost completely.
Teen Choice Awards 2013: Television
Pretty Little Liars scooped up every single TV Drama award, which included Choice Male (Ian Harding) and Choice Female (Troian Bellisario), while also nabbing Choice Summer Show, Actress (Lucy Hale) and Actor (Keegan Allen), and Choice TV Villain (Janel Parrish).
The Vampire Diaries took home all the awards for Sci-Fi/Fantasy (with Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev winning for Best Actor/Actress), while Glee could claim most of the Comedy awards, barring Choice Actor, which went to The Big Bang Theory’s Jim Parsons.
