As we know, Emma Watson is expanding her film repertoire after her success with Harry Potter. In her next film (based on a true story), she stars as a rebellious teenager that robs celebrities’ homes. Today, the teaser trailer for The Bling Ring was released!
We’ve seen some photos so far of Emma in her role as Nicki and on the set of The Bling Ring. Today, the first official teaser trailer hit the web, and we can see some of the shenanigans Nicki and her friends get into.
IMDB gives the synopsis as: “inspired by actual events, a group of fame-obsessed teenagers use the Internet to track celebrities’ whereabouts in order to rob their homes.” Watch the teaser below!

Hitting theaters on June 14, The Bling Ring also stars Leslie Mann (This is 40) as Nicki’s mom, Taissa Farmiga (American Horror Story), and Israel Broussard (Flipped). The film is directed and written by Lost in Translation‘s Sofia Coppola.
Emma most recently starred in The Perks of Being a Wallflower which hit theaters last fall, and she’s in early talks to star as the title role in a new live-action adaptation of Cinderella. She’ll also star as Belle in Guillermo Del Toro’s Beauty and the Beast, which begins filming this summer. Also, we think she’s an awesome person to follow on Twitter.
