Last week we brought you news of Team StarKid’s newest venture – a sketch show titled Airport For Birds (And Other Great Ideas), which will have a six-week residency at one of Second City’s Chicago clubs. Tickets for Airport For Birds went on sale today, and in advance of the ticket release, StarKid hosted a live stream to offer up more information about the show.

If you missed the live stream, you can catch it below – watch as Joe Walker, Lauren Lopez, Brian Holden, Corey Lubowich, and new contributor Daniel Strauss fool around with the various visual effects that Google+ hangout makes available.

If you don’t have time to sit down and watch all fifty minutes of the chat, we’ve done it for you! Here’s some of what was covered in regards to Airport For Birds:

– In regards to seating, there will be a VIP option for $50.00 which gets seats in the front and a souvenir program – all other seats will be first come, first served at the regular price.

– At the moment there are no plans for an official meet and greet.

– As far as an age limit on the show goes, Second City allows attendees over the age of 10 years old, but StarKid would give this show a PG-13 rating for content and an R for language.

– The music used in the show will be brand-new, original content written by Nick Gage, their Holy Musical B@man! composer.

– They appreciate that not everyone can make it to Chicago, so they do hope to put some of the show online as a digital download, but it won’t be the show in its entirety.

– They’d LOVE love to take it on the road or do an extended Chicago run, but it depends on how the first run goes, if it works out and how people respond to it.

– True to the nature of sketch comedy and improv, Airport For Birds will be constantly changing. They’ll have a core group of sketches, but will be messing around night to night with content that doesn’t work or jokes that fall flat. (So if you see it more than once, you may be in for some surprises!)

Tickets for Team StarKid’s six Airport For Birds shows are on sale now through Second City.
