Team StarKid have announced that they will be taking the stage next month at DigiFest, the world’s biggest YouTube music festival.

Six members of Team StarKid – Brian Holden, Joe Walker, Joey Richter, Brian Rosenthal, Jeff Blim and Clark Baxtresser – will be performing at DigiFest LA next months, in StarKid’s first appearance at a DigiFest event since 2011.

Taking place on December 14 at the Hollywood Palladium, DigiFest LA promises “incredible musical performances, hilarious comedy and improv, meet and greets, surprise guests, red carpet, beauty and gaming stations, photobooths, giveaways and more.” The festival will feature over 60 guests, including YouTube stars Rebecca Black, Troye Sivan, Kaleb Nation and Luke Conard.

Team StarKid’s first appearance at a DigiFest event was in May 2011 when they joined headliners The Gregory Brothers and Nice Peter on two Midwestern dates of the first annual DigiTour. Not only was DigiTour the first national touring event featuring solely YouTube musicians, it was also the first non-musical theater performance for Team StarKid.

Through the success of their DigiTour experience, StarKid discovered that the songs from their musicals were well received in a non-narrative concert setting, and the group have gone on to re-structure their back catalogue in two sell-out national tours and many performances at fan conventions.

StarKid have also announced another appearance, at the Midwinter Gaming Convention, where they will be hosting screenings of their shows, Q&As, and signing sessions. The Midwinter Gaming Convention takes place in Milwaukee, on January 16-19.

Fans attending DigiFest LA can hope to see the six StarKid lads in attendance perform unique versions of your favorite tunes from the group’s past six YouTube musicals, and maybe even a few new numbers from Twisted, StarKid’s newest show which debuts on YouTube at midnight central time tonight!
