Yesterday we brought you comprehensive coverage of Team StarKid’s panel at C2E2 – did you catch that StarKid themselves both tweeted a link to our post, and mentioned it on the live-stream that took place last night? Some of the members got together to discuss their new show, upcoming tour, and exciting weekend, including just how their new friendship with Sean Astin came about.

Cast members Nick Lang, Brian Holden, Lauren Lopez, and designer Corey Lubowich broadcast live on UStream to answer questions from fans worldwide. The group talked in detail about the ticket packages for the upcoming Apocalyptour, which goes on sale Tuesday.

The foursome took questions about other fandoms, discussing their thoughts regarding The Hunger Games and The Legend of Korra, and spoke in detail about their new musical, Holy Musical B@man!, revealing why they chose not to include the character of the Joker.

They also told the online audience about meeting the Lord of the Rings actor who ended up inviting himself to their panel and wearing the Holy Musical B@man! Scarecrow costume. Get this – he approached them, when their signing tables were set up alongside one another. He recognised actor and writer Nick Lang from Nick’s creation of a Gollum puppet in the Lord of the Rings parody video, which predates A Very Potter Musical and can be found on the StarKid Youtube channel.

And of course, when discussing the Sean Astin Experience, Brian Holden mentioned our recap!
