Team StarKid launched their national Apocalyptour last night at the House of Blues in Chicago – read about the first performance below, including pictures and the set list!

The Apocalyptour, unlike the straight live concert performance on the 2011 SPACE Tour, follows the plotted story of Team StarKid upsetting the Mayan gods and bringing on the Apocalypse. “Get Back Up” – Starship
“Guys Like Potter” – A Very Potter Sequel
“The Way I Do” – Starship
“Different As Can Be” – A Very Potter Musical

In preparation for the commencement of this tour, Team StarKid also released the video below, featuring Dylan Saunders and Clark Baxtresser. The clip requests that viewers send in “fan challenges” for the cast to undertake on tour, and shows footage of some challenges from 2011’s SPACE Tour, including building a human pyramid and sneak-hugging fans in the crowd! It looks like Team StarKid fans can expect regular video updates from the group while they’re on the road. (Have you checked out our exclusive interview with Clark, including info about the Apocalyptour?)

Tickets are still available to most dates of the Team StarKid Apocalytour.
