Taylor Swift is gearing up to kick her social media presence up a notch in a huge way!

It’s a good day to be a Taylor Swift super fan. The singer took to the internet on Wednesday (October 11) to reveal that she’s been secretly working on creating her own social networking app, The Swift Life, which promises to give fans the chance to interact with the singer and fellow Swifties like themselves.

In a video announcing The Swift Life, Taylor showed off the layout of the new app where fans will be able to share posts with friends and even the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer herself.

“I’ve got something pretty awesome that we’ve been working on for a while that I wanted to share with you,” says Swift at the beginning of the preview. “I think you guys are really going to like this. I mean, I hope. I mean, it’d be preferable if you did.”

According to Rolling Stone, the Reputation pop star partnered up with Glu (the company behind celebrity themed mobile games like Britney Spears: American Dream and Katy Perry Pop) to bring the upcoming social networking app to life.

On top of potentially being able to interact with Swift herself, fans who sign up for The Swift Life will also gain access to things like “Taymojis”, tickets, photos, and more.

The fact that Swift is gearing up to launch her own social networking app is especially interesting considering her new social media presence.

Earlier this year, Swift threw fans for a loop when she cleared out both her Twitter and her Instagram pages. Though Swift has used both to post updates and promo material about her forthcoming album, Reputation, it hasn’t escaped our notice that she’s not as active as she used to be on either platform.

We’ll be curious to see if Swift ends up posting more candidly via her new app when it launches.

Currently, there’s no specific release date set for The Swift Life, but the teaser trailer for the app promises that it’s due out in “late 2017.” Given the fact that Taylor Swift’s Reputation is set to drop on November 10, we wouldn’t be surprised if Tay-Tays new app launches around then as well.
