Taylor Swift is walking through her “worst case scenario” as the rights to her old music now lie in the hands of a man she claims bullied her.

The music business can be pretty brutal, especially when it comes to the record label side of things. Taylor Swift’s old record label, Big Machine, was just acquired by Scooter Braun’s company, Ithaca Holdings LLC. Not only is this frustrating for Swift because it is yet another step from her attempts to own the rights to her old music, but Swift explained on her Tumblr that Braun has been bullying her for some time.

As Variety reports, the acquisition means Braun and his company now own all of Taylor Swift’s music through her 2017 album Reputation. Because, for a lot of us, the business side of the music industry can be a bit foreign, Swift took to her Tumblr to explain why she was so “sad and grossed out” over the Big Machine acquisition.

Swift explained that she had begged Scott Borchetta of Big Machine for years to own the rights to her own catalog, and instead of giving her the opportunity to purchase the rights, the company sold to Ithaca Holdings. Not only was she not informed about the sale ahead of time–she says in her post she found out about it on the news with everyone else–Swift claims that Braun was instrumental in the bullying she experienced during her infamous feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

In her post, Swift explains that Braun has been bullying her for years and includes a picture from Justin Beiber’s Instagram (Beiber is one of Braun’s clients) that features a photo of Beiber, West, and Braun with the caption “Taylor Swift what up.” Swift explained that this acquisition meant her “musical legacy is about to lie in the hands of someone who tried to dismantle it.”

Naturally, many other artists have come to Swift’s defense. Todrick Hall, Halsey, and more have come out in support of Swift, and Hall even went as far as calling Braun “evil” and “homophobic.”

Hopefully Swift will be able to get the rights to her old music back. She does end her Tumblr post on a high note, however, explaining that her current record label believes she should own her own music. So while the fate of her past work may be in the hands of someone she doesn’t trust, we’re glad Taylor Swift is in the middle of a healthier partnership.
