Taylor Swift has written a new Christmas song, and even better, it’s coming our way tonight with a music video dropping tomorrow!
Taylor Swift might have just dropped her latest album, and has a documentary coming our way soon. but that hasn’t stopped her from making new music. And apparently, she’s felt a bit of the Christmas spirit.
As Variety reports, Swift has written and recorded a brand new Christmas song. And in a video she sent to Good Morning America, she revealed that while she could just wait a year to release it due to how close we are to Christmas, she’s releasing it right away.
But when these kinds of things happen, you’ve got to wonder how much is staged for publicity’s sake. Did Taylor Swift really just write this song?
According to GMA host Lara Spencer, she totally did. Spencer explained that Swift wrote the song “in record time” last weekend. The song will be released tonight, and a new music video will drop tomorrow, December 6, premiering first on GMA.
Swift issued a tweet to drop the news to her followers as well. She included the video (where she, naturally, consults her cats for advice on when to release the single), and explains that the music video will be a collection of home videos.

While her cats aren’t much help, one quick perusal of the comments on her tweets reveals that her fans are more than a teensy bit excited for the new song.
