Taylor Swift has finally let us all in on the release date for her new album, Lover, plus when we can expect her next single!

Swifties far and wide who’ve been searching for clues with regards to when Taylor Swift will be releasing her full album can take a break from the sleuthing.

The pop star took to social media today to give the world some answers with regards to when her illusive seventh studio album would be released AND what it will be called.

In a tweet sent out on Thursday (June 13) afternoon, Swift officially announced that her forthcoming album is called Lover, and that we can expect it to drop toward the end of this summer.

The pop star also unveiled the dreamy album art for the album, which features the soft pastel motif she’s been using to promote this next chapter of her music.

“Lover, album out August 23. Cover shot by the artistic genius that is @valheria123,” tweeted Swift. “Pre-add, pre-save pre-order (all the pre stuff you feel like doing) Can’t wait for you to hear this.”

In addition, Taylor Swift took to Instagram where she revealed a few more details about Lover in the form of a 10-minute live stream.

First up, the pop star announced that fans could expect her next single, “You Need to Calm Down,” to drop at midnight on Friday (June 14).

Unlike “ME!”, the corresponding music video will drop separately a few days later on Monday (June 17). Swift revealed that she’ll be dropping the music video exclusively on Good Morning America but that it’ll also be available via YouTube for fans who can’t tune in.

In addition, the Reputation artist also let slip that Lover will be comprised of 18 tracks total, officially making it the longest Taylor Swift album to date.

“This album in tone is very romantic and not just simply thematically, like, it’s all love songs. I think that the idea of being romantic — it doesn’t have to be a happy song. I think that you can find romance in loneliness, or sadness, or going through a conflict, or dealing with things in your life,” explained Swift. “I think that it just kind of looks at those things with a very romantic gaze.”
