Tamala Jones, who plays medical examiner Lanie Parish on Castle, isn’t growing tired of the series any time soon. She’s ready for whatever the series throws at her, but she still has time to obsess over other series.

In an exclusive interview with Ology, Tamala Jones not only talks about her current Castle co-stars, but a certain HBO series that she is addicted to.

There’ve been some pretty big changes this season what with the new captain. Was that a big adjustment on set?

It has, because we all –– I’m sure the fans are too –– are used to Captain Montgomery [Ruben Santiago-Hudson] and the way his precinct was a lot different than the new captain’s. I think Penny Johnson [Captain Victoria Gates] is just amazing at what she does. She has a completely different style… she is very strong. We as actors are adapting to the new energy. She is very strong and very by the book and doesn’t stray too far –– she’s on Castle’s butt. I love that about her but it’s been great. I’ve learned a lot from Penny.

I love how you make moments on the screen sparkle. It makes it a lot of fun. I read that you like a few other TV shows. I read that you like the Game of Thrones show too?

OMG. I love, love, love it! I watch the whole show and watch it two more times right after. I love the details, I love the cast. The amazing cast! It’s just so great, everything they do –– the costumes, the writing. They are so good about adapting it from the book and putting it to the script. The actors are impeccable because I see what I’ve read. It’s just amazing. I love it, I love it, I love it. I can’t wait. I mean, they jacked me a little bit

Is Jones one of your Castle favorites? Would you like to see her on Game of Thrones?
