In addition, Disney has announced that the writer behind Netflix’s Russian Doll is working on a new and untitled Star Wars series for Disney+. Leslye Headland will write, executive produce, and serve as showrunner.

The Headland project joins two other Star Wars TV series currently in development for Disney+. The three series will follow in the footsteps of the beloved Disney+ original The Mandalorian.

That wasn’t the only good news on this national Star Wars holiday. Today Disney+ released Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, meaning that the entire Skywalker saga is now available on the streamer. They also launched a new documentary series giving a behind-the-scenes look at the making of The Mandalorian.
