All good things come to an end, and on August 18, the NYC production of Puffs left their common room near the kitchens for good. We were there to report back on a night full of feelings — J-Finch approved!

I have been covering Puffs for Hypable for three and a half years, so as it’s about to close on August 18, here is my reflection on what this show has meant to me.

Ahead of the closing of Puffs, Hypable interviewed the four remaining members of the original cast, who will have been with Puffs from its humble beginnings to the very end: Zac Moon (Wayne Hopkins), Andy Miller (Leanne), Stephen Stout (Ernie Mac, and a producer on the show), and Madeleine Bundy (Susie Bones/Harry Potter, and the designer of the show).

Jessie Cannizzaro has played Sally Perks and Bippy the house-elf (among others) for over three years in Puffs; on February 9, she hung up her glasses and pillowcase for good.

Nick Carrillo has been making audiences (and his fellow actors) roar with laughter as Zach Smith in Puffs for three years. We interviewed him as he prepares to depart the show on November 15.

On August 19th, three members of the original cast of Puffs hung up their black-and-yellow scarves: Langston Belton (Oliver Rivers), AJ Ditty (the Narrator), and James Fouhey (Cedric/Mr. Voldy).

Hypable spoke to two of the actresses who’ve been with Puffs from the very beginning, but are about to hang up their black-and-yellow scarves. We can also exclusively reveal their replacements!

For two nights only, May 9 and May 12, over 600 theaters nationwide will broadcast Puffs Live Off-Broadway.

All kinds of Potter plays are planning Australian productions – but before Cursed Child makes its way to Australia, the Puffs will launch their first international production in Melbourne in May.
