If you can’t get enough of Sweet/Vicious, you’re in luck! Creator Jennifer Kaytin Robinson is going inside each episode to tackle a different aspect of the series.

We spoke to the Sweet/Vicious creator right before the series premiere of the show, but with such a cool concept to explore, there’s always something new to discover.

You can catch the videos on MTV’s YouTube account after they go live on Facebook. The first episode of the “Inside the Episode” series premiered on Nov. 28, with the second one going up on Nov. 29. As of this writing, we’re still waiting on episode 3!

I love that there are mood boards for Ophelia and Jules and that they’re both incredibly different — as they should be! Ophelia’s is dark and bold at the same time, filled to the brim with big statements and decisive lines. Jules’, on the other hand, is light and open and flowery. It lends itself to her cautious nature, but doesn’t let you forget that she’s on a mission.

Robinson talks about the moment she stumbled upon one of the best scenes in the pilot (and perhaps the series) when her music, on shuffle, put on “Defying gravity” and gave her the spark of inspiration that led to the girls singing the song while there was a dead body in their trunk. But did you also know this came to her right before the pilot was meant to make the rounds with the MTV execs? She had to call them up to see if she could add something last minute!

I also like that the show knows violence is not how you enact change in the real world, and that the people behind the show don’t think violence solves anything. The show is heightened, and therefore it’s not always true to life. This is something I hope they tackle more in depth as the show goes on.

The same can be said for LGBT characters. Robinson mentions Barton is gay and that some of the sorority sisters are lesbians, but she doesn’t let slip any other details. She also mentions they didn’t have a ton of time to go down that road this season, but it’s definitely on the agenda if they get a season 2. They want to tackle a wide variety of other injustices.

Every week, Robinson will be doing one of these “Inside the Episode” segments, and in each one she’ll highlight a new organization you should be aware of. This time it was Rainn.org.

The “Inside the Episode” video for Sweet/Vicious 1×02 is all about the writing process, with the show’s creator taking time to talk about the challenges she faced while she tackled the series. One of those challenges came in the form of Harris because his experiences are so different from her own, but she also said they were extremely fulfilling to work through.

Aside from dropping funny and interesting tidbits about what we’ve already seen (all that pink vomit came from eating pink sour worms, by the way), Robinson also previewed some of what we can expect from new episodes. Episode 4, for example, will see the girls tackling a sorority hazing ritual in which there’s no rapist to take down, but rather fellow females who are perpetrating their own injustices.

Another minor spoiler the creator disclosed was that Ophelia and Harris will remain friends in season 1. She thought it was important to show a male/female friendship that was strictly platonic, so even though these two have some definite chemistry, for right now it’s not going to go anywhere else.

The organization Sweet/Vicious wants you to be aware of in this episode is Black Lives Matter, as well as the NAACP.
