If you’re a sucker for romance novels that can also make you laugh, like we are, then Sustained is a must read. Despite her difficult situation, Chelsea is able to get through her days with a smile. Each and every one of her nieces and nephews has their own personality that will have the reader laughing along while growing to love them. It’s easy to see why Jake has a hard time staying away, despite his need for a simple life.

We revel in the fact that Sustained isn’t a cookie-cutter romance. Don’t worry there’s still plenty of sexy, but Chelsea and Jake find themselves growing closer emotionally before they ever do sexually. And that makes the story even sweeter. You’d expect a player like Jake to leave the moment things get hard, but Chelsea and even the kids appeal is just too much to turn away from.

As an added bonus, readers also get to see their favorite characters from Overruled. Stanton and Sofia can’t believe that Jake might actually settle down. And they’re there every step of the way to give him a hard time while lending a helping hand. We can’t wait to read the third book in The Legal Briefs series with Brent’s story.
