Superstore season 6 is just around the corner, and the series is celebrating by sharing a brand new teaser for the upcoming season!

Superstore season 5 may have found itself cut short due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but fans of the hit NBC sitcom can rest easy knowing that the show will be back on the small screen with new episodes before they know it.

In fact, Superstore season 6 is set to premiere on October 29, and thanks to a new teaser for the forthcoming season, fans can now get a taste of what they can expect when their favorite Cloud 9 staff returns.

“There’s a lot to unpack here,” tweeted the series’ official Twitter account along with the brand new teaser trailer. “#Superstore is back in business Thursday, October 29.”

The teaser for the new series is fairly short, but it certainly packs a punch. It also hints at the fact that the sitcom is gearing up to tackle what it’s like to work retail amidst COVID-19 concerns

Pandemic aside, one thing fans will likely be curious about is how the series will address the absence of star America Ferrera.

The good news is that fans will still get their dose of Amy as part of the Superstore season 6 premiere. As we learned back in April, despite the fact that Ferrera announced plans to leave the series back in February, she’ll still be on hand to take part in the first episode back.

The series had initially planned to send Amy off with a two part episode, but only the first part of that originally planned exit had aired by the time the series found its fifth season cut short due to the current coronavirus pandemic. Despite the setback, it’s great to hear that Ferrera will indeed be back to bring the envisioned farewell for Amy to fruition as part of the season 6 opener.

Superstore season 6 debuts via NBC on Thursday, October 29.
