Supernatural stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles sit down in a new video interview and discuss the season’s storylines so far, specifically time travel and that monster baby from last week’s episode.

In the Zap2It interview, Jensen confesses a behind-the-scenes secret from ‘Time After Time’:

They had a hard time getting me to get out of the outfit there. With the coat and the thing and the hair and the gun. I walked on set and multiple crew guys — we’re talking guys that are head-to-toe Gore-Tex when we’re filming — just came up to me and started touching my jacket. They’re like ‘Why did we stop dressing like this?'”

While Jensen would like to see the show go back to medieval times or even travel to the future again, Jared says:

I think Sam would do well in the United States around 1940, 1941, when we started getting involved in World War II. One of the things I like about my character is that he’s willing to sacrifice his good for the greater good. I’ve always had a fantasy about being able to do a story that takes place kind of World War II era.

On Dean’s big parenthood episode last week, Jensen says:

The Slice Girls, as the show is lovingly called, is a little out there. It’s a bit of a different scenario for Dean. He has a daughter. She’s been sent to ‘take care of me’. It’s a bit conflicting. Sam has to come in and saves the day, which is what Dean had to do at the beginning of the season… it’s one of those brother moments that we all cherish.

Some interesting observations by the J’s about two iconic episodes from the season. Do you agree that they should do more time travel episodes?
