The CW has officially ordered the Supernatural spinoff to pilot, and we’ve learned what it will be titled.

Supernatural: Tribes will explore the clashing hunter and monster cultures of Chicago, reports The Hollywood Reporter. Will we be seeing tribes of both hunters and monsters in the Windy City?

The development of a Supernatural spinoff was first announced at San Diego Comic-Con, but outside of its basic outline as an urban counterpart to Supernatural‘s road show, little else has been revealed about the project until now.

Supernatural writer Andrew Dabb will pen the script. Dabb joined the Supernatural writing staff alongside writing partner Daniel Loflin in season 4. Some script highlights of the writing duo include season 4’s “Yellow Fever,” season 5’s “Dark Side of the Moon,” season 6’s “Unforgiven,” and season 7’s “Plucky Pennywhistle’s Magical Menagerie.”

Dabb’s solo writing credits consist of season 8’s “Hunteri Heroici,” “Trial and Error,” and “Clip Show,” as well as season 9’s “Devil May Care” and “Road Trip.”

Dabb will also executive produce Tribes alongside Supernatural creator Eric Kripke, current Supernatural executive producers Robert Singer and Jeremy Carver, and former Supernatural executive producer McG.

Singer will also direct the backdoor pilot, which is expected to fall around episode 20 of season 9. Singer has directed nearly 30 episodes of Supernatural since season 1.

No characters in the parent series are expected to jump ship for the spinoff. Instead, Tribes‘s main character will be introduced in the backdoor pilot. However, some familiar faces may appear from time to time.

Supernatural: Tribes joins the Flash pilot as new spinoffs ordered by the network in the wake of the success of The Originals – last season’s Vampire Diaries spinoff – which currently airs alongside Supernatural on Tuesday nights.
