The CW has released a batch of promotional stills from Supernatural season 9, episode 6 “Heaven Can’t Wait,” featuring Castiel working a very human job.
The episode appears to be two-pronged from the stills, with Dean and Castiel on one front and Sam, Kevin, and Crowley on the other.

Castiel is currently Heaven-on-Earth’s most wanted as a large faction of fallen angels blame him for their fall. A group, lead by Naomi’s protege, Bartholomew, has enlisted the help of freelance Reapers to find Castiel for information on Metatron and the spell that cast the angels from Heaven.
Dean and Sam, with Ezekiel’s help, rescued Castiel from one such Reaper in “I’m No Angel.” However, in the aftermath Ezekiel gave Dean an ultimatum: either Castiel leaves the bunker or Ezekiel leaves Sam. Unwilling to condemn his brother to death, Dean told Cas he couldn’t stay.
Now, judging from episode synopsis, we’ll find out what Cas has been up to since he left the bunker:
CASTIEL GETS A JOB — Castiel (Misha Collins) gets a job at a Gas-N-Sip and actually starts to enjoy life as a human. A headline in the local newspaper about some disappearances in the area catches his eye, so he calls Dean (Jensen Ackles) to help him investigate the case. Dean knows he needs to keep Sam/Ezekiel (Jared Padaleck) away from Castiel, so he tells Sam that he and Kevin (guest star Osric Chau) need to stay and work with Crowley to decipher the tablet. Crowley agrees to help Sam and Kevin but in return he wants one phone call to hell. Rob Spera directed the episode written by Robert Berens (907).
Supernatural season 9, episode 6 “Heaven Can’t Wait” airs Tuesday, November 12 at 9:00 p.m. ET on The CW.
