Supernatural season 9, episode 5 “Dog Dean Afternoon” airs tonight, and Dean is getting in touch with his canine side.

The Road So Far

Dean formed an unlikely alliance with Ezekiel, an angel who was wounded in the fall, to save a dying Sam. Ezekiel possessed Sam to heal him from within, while also healing himself. However, Ezekiel’s presence within the younger Winchester remains a secret.

On the demonic front, the Winchesters held Crowley captive in the hope of getting the names of all the demons and their vessels on Earth. Meanwhile, Abaddon was resurrected and started building an army to take over Hell for herself.

Castiel, on the other hand, is angelic enemy number after the fall. After the Winchesters saved Cas from a Reaper, Ezekiel gave Dean an ultimatum: Cas leaves the bunker or Ezekiel leaves Sam, thus condemning him to death. As a result, Dean kicked Cas out.
