Supernatural season 9, episode 3 “I’m No Angel” airs tonight, featuring the adventures of our favorite fallen angel, Castiel.

The Road So Far

Supernatural season 9 so far has focused on two fronts of the fallout of the angels’ fall from Heaven. Dean formed an unlikely alliance with Ezekiel, an angel who was wounded in the fall, to save a dying Sam. Ezekiel possessed Sam to heal him from within, while also healing himself. However, Ezekiel’s presence within the younger Winchester remains a secret.

Castiel, on the other hand, fell to Earth as a human. Dean told him to make his way to the Men of Letters bunker where it would be safest for him, especially since he is public enemy number one for many fallen angels who blame him for their fall.

On the demonic front, the Winchesters held Crowley captive in the hope of getting the names of all the demons and their vessels on Earth. Meanwhile, Abaddon was resurrected and started building an army to take over Hell for herself. Abaddon trapped Sam and Dean and demanded they hand over Crowley; the brothers, though, were saved by Ezekiel emerging to kill the demons.
