The CW has released the synopsis for Supernatural season 9, episode 2, titled “Devil May Care.”
The official press release had the following information about the episode:
ABADDON RISES — Dean (Jensen Ackles) shocks Sam (Jared Padalecki) by popping open the trunk of the Impala and showing him that he has kidnapped Crowley (Mark Sheppard). Kevin (guest star Osric Chau) freaks out when he sees the King of Hell, but Sam and Dean convince him that they need Crowley to find the demons on Earth. Meanwhile, Abaddon (guest star Alaina Huffman) re-emerges and plans to take over Hell. Guy Bee directed the episode written by Andrew Dabb.
We’re guessing this episode corresponds with the footage shown at Comic-Con this summer in which the Winchesters lock Crowley in a dungeon in the Men of Letters bunker when he refuses to tell them the names of all the demons on Earth.
We’ve also seen footage of Abaddon in various promos and sneak peeks, so it’s likely this episode will contain some of that footage as well.
Notably missing from this description is Castiel, who is newly human and will both be learning what it means to be human and on the run from angels who blame him for their fall from Heaven.
Supernatural season 9, episode 2 “Devil May Care” airs Tuesday, October 15 at 9:00 p.m. ET on The CW.
