Supernatural season 9, episode 14, “Captives,” airs next week, as the Winchesters deal with a haunting in the Men of Letters bunker.

Fresh off its renewal for a tenth season, Supernatural returns with a new episode after a short hiatus for the Olympics.

We left the Winchester brothers at odds, as Sam has yet to forgive Dean for ignoring his wishes and allowing Gadreel to possess him. In a heart-wrenching conversation, Dean defended his actions while Sam replied that in the same circumstances, he would not have done the same for Dean.

For his part, Dean has taken on the mark of Cain in order to be able to wield the First Blade, the only weapon that can kill a Knight of Hell. However, the blade is at the bottom of the ocean, and Crowley has been looking for it.

Castiel, meanwhile, has been M.I.A. since helping to heal Sam’s lingering damage from the trials.
