Consider this a Supernatural shocker! One of Sam’s former love interests is set to return in the penultimate episode of season 8.
Taylor Cole, who played Sarah Blake in season 1’s “Provenance,” is set to return in episode 8×22, Zap2It has confirmed.
A couple of days ago, Cole tweeted a picture from the Supernatural set, which had fans wondering if her character would, in fact, be returning:

Now we know that Cole will make her return in the episode titled “Clip Show,” which seems to indicate exploration of events that have occurred and characters the brothers have met over the last eight seasons.
Sarah Blake, despite only appearing in one episode early on in the series, remains a popular character among Supernatural fans. Her father owned an art gallery that was selling a haunted painting. When Sam and Dean arrived on the case, she and Sam quickly fell for each other — and she would eventually help the brothers destroy the haunted painting.
Sam, however, was still fresh off Jessica’s death and becoming increasingly obsessed with getting revenge against the Yellow-Eyed Demon, so their romance didn’t last past a kiss at the end of the episode.
“Clip Show” airs Wednesday, May 8 at 9:00 p.m. ET.
