Watch a sneak peek and a promo from next week’s Supernatural season 8 finale, “Sacrifice,” below.

First, the sneak peek from the Supernatural season finale:

In this clip, we see Sam and Dean meeting with Crowley who, in the previous episode, started killing people the Winchesters had saved. After killing Tommy Collins from season 1’s “Wendigo” and Jenny Klein from season 7’s “Shut Up, Dr. Phil,” Crowley turned his attention to Sarah Blake, Sam’s love interest from season 1’s “Provenance.”

Though the brothers made every effort to protect Sarah, she died in front of them. Crowley then demanded that the brothers hand over the demon tablet and stop the trials; otherwise, he would kill someone they had saved every 12 hours.

At the end of the episode, a grief-stricken Sam suggested they take the deal. However, according to the synopsis, the brothers will still be trying to close the gates of Hell in the finale despite being cornered by Crowley’s threat. “[W]ith Kevin’s help, the Winchester brothers bound into one last play against The Demon King.”

Meanwhile, “Metatron initiates a plan with Castiel to take on Naomi and the bureaucracy of Heaven.” We saw the start of this plan in the previous episode, when Castiel began his own set of trials.

We also have a promo for the Supernatural season finale:

The promo hints that the meeting the brothers have with Crowley in the sneak peek is actually a ruse. The third trial is to cure a demon, and it looks like they plan to use Crowley himself as their subject.

The promo also shows Abaddon, who Sam and Dean stitched back together in the previous episode, on the loose. Shes seems interested in taking Crowley’s spot as the leader of Hell.

“Sacrifice” airs Wednesday, May 15 at 9:00 p.m. ET.
