The cast and executive producer of Supernatural took to San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H and teased the upcoming season 10.

Supernatural EP Jeremy Carver and stars Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins, and Mark Sheppard had some intriguing things to say about the new season. Here are our five biggest highlights from the panel:

A Winchester confrontation

Before the panel, Ackles introduced a clip from the third episode of season 10, which he directed. In this clip, the Winchesters meet for the first time since Dean became a demon.

In the Men of Letters bunker, Dean stalks Sam with an axe. While Sam talks about hating demons, Dean replies that he has more running through him “than demon juice.” He also taunts his brother, adding, “I know what you did when you were looking for me, so tell me… which one of us is really the monster?” The clip ends with the brothers attacking each other.

According to Ackles, he spent most of this episode tied up, making it convenient for directing, so we’re guessing Sam comes out on top in this confrontation.

Dean’s twisted soul

The cast reminds us that Dean isn’t being possessed by a demon. “A lot of times on our show we have demons possessing a meat suit, which is lovingly what we call it on this show. This is not like that. This is actually Dean’s soul that is twisted,” Ackles says. “It was interesting trying to make it the same character but a different character, just twisted and demonic.”

Dean becoming a demon “has an enormous effect on the season and the brothers,” Carver adds. “The boys, Sam in particular, will really dig into how to rescue his brother from being a demon while Dean struggles with what it means to be a demon. We’re really excited, most of all, with the brothers questioning who’s the real monster. It’s exciting, moving, very emotional and fun.”

Also notable? Demon Dean will be taking the Impala, but he won’t be nearly as loving of Baby as he was as a human.

The Dean and Crowley relationship

While Crowley may be eager to take a howl at the moon with Demon Dean, Dean may not be so willing. “I think nobody’s ever going to believe that Crowley didn’t know what was going to happen, right?” Sheppard says of that relationship. “So we’ll have to see if Crowley has any control over what happens or if Crowley’s even in charge.”

Ackles adds, “[A]t some point Crowley is going to be like, ‘This was a bad, bad idea.'”

What else can we expect from Crowley this season? “Crowley is always right,” Sheppard says. “The world revolves around Crowley. That’s just the way it is.”

Kevin crashes the panel

Fan favorite Osric Chau, who played the ill-fated prophet Kevin Tran, crashed the panel in a hooded costume. After he revealed himself, the cast bowed down to their friend.

Chau then asked when Kevin would be returning. “Now? Never,” Carver joked. “I carry a little piece of Kevin with me at all times,” Sheppard added.

Dating profiles

One fan asked the cast members to summarize their characters’ dating profiles. The results?

Sam: “Tall, floppy hair, all past girlfriends have died.”
Dean: “Rolling through town, no strings attached. Interested?”
Castiel: “Disrespect for people’s personal space.”
Crowley: “Hello, girls or hello, boys.”

Supernatural season 10 premieres Tuesday, October 7 at 9:00 p.m. ET on The CW.
