The CW has released a short new Supernatural promo that humorously details the “hunter’s list,” or things essential to hunting. You might be surprised at what made the cut.

The promo plays it straight as it opens: “The hunter’s list,” the narrator says. First is “the car,” which includes a shot of the Winchesters’ trademark 1967 Chevy Impala. Next is “the weapons,” highlighted by shots of Sam throwing something, someone being strangled, and Dean with a blade.

But then, in the tradition of Supernatural‘s self-reflective humor, the promo adds “the hair.” We have a shot of Sam and Dean in their FBI guises walking, and Dean quips to Sam, “Is that hair FBI regulation or are you trying out for Point Break?” referencing the 1991 film about bank robbing surfers, starring Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze.

We love seeing a promo playing up the show’s humor, as many people seem unaware that the show has plenty of comedy mixed in with the horror and fantasy elements.
