Supernatural will not air a new episode on Wednesday, April 8.
On the heels of last week’s fantastic episode, “Inside Man,” Supernatural is taking a week off before returning next week with more focus on the Mark of Cain. Supernatural season 10, episode 18, “Book of the Damned,” will air on Wednesday, April 8 at 9:00 p.m. ET on The CW.
Instead of a new episode, The CW will air a rerun of Supernatural season 10, episode 14, “The Executioner’s Song.”
Supernatural season 10, episode 17, “Inside Man,” featured Sam and Castiel contacting Bobby in Heaven and asking him to help Castiel infiltrate Heaven so he could break Metatron out of prison, so they could get information about the Mark of Cain out of him.
Meanwhile, Rowena confronted Dean in an effort to kill him, but the Mark protected him from her magic. Crowley shared a drink with Dean after the fight, and Dean’s words made Crowley realize Rowena was a bad influence, so he kicked her out of his kingdom.

The synopsis for next week’s episode, “Book of the Damned,” reads:
“Charlie (guest star Felicia Day) calls Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) to tell them she found the Book of the Dead which could help remove the Mark of Cain. The Winchesters race to her after she tells them she’s been shot by a man named Jacob Styne (guest star Jeff Branson) who says the book belongs to his family and he won’t rest until he gets it back. Castiel (Misha Collins) and Metatron (guest star Curtis Armstrong) take a road trip to find Castiel’s grace but they hit a couple road bumps along the way.”
The last time we saw Charlie, she had returned from Oz, split into a Good Charlie and a Bad Charlie. The Winchesters helped her reunite her two halves, and Charlie volunteered to go off and do some research to supplement Sam’s work in trying to save Dean from the Mark of Cain.
