The CW has released a clip and producer’s preview for the eleventh episode of Supernatural‘s eighth season, “LARP and the Real Girl,” featuring the return of Felicia Day.

In this clip, we get a humorous look at a live action roleplaying event, taking place in a realm called Mondoor. Sam and Dean, dressed in their FBI guises, attempt to get information from a LARPer.

However, he recognizes that their suits are cheap and that their IDs are fake – citing a change in ID numbers that the brothers haven’t accounted for – and assumes they are also LARPers. He tells them that the crossover with FBI agents entering Mondoor is on another weekend.

“The boys start to investigate this LARPing case and discover that the queen of the LARPers is none other than Charlie Bradbury, our wonderful Felicia Day,” executive producer Jeremy Carver says.

“Charlie Bradbury, you’ll remember, is the very offbeat IT girl who was caught up in the boys’ quest to kill the leviathans last season.” Carver adds that after her episode, Charlie “went on the run essentially and went into hiding, never expecting that she would come across the boys again.”

“I think one of the really fun things about Supernatural the series is that it’s tremendously adaptable to the writers essentially losing their minds,” which is exactly what you get in this episode with “the combination of live action roleplaying and the wonderfully quirky Felicia Day,” Carver concludes.

After the darkness of last episode, we’re looking forward to a lighter one!

“LARP and the Real Girl” airs Wednesday, January 23 at 9:00 p.m. ET.
