Supernatural season 10, episode 18, “Book of the Damned,” airs tonight, as Charlie reunites with the Winchesters.

The Road So Far

Sam and Castiel contacted Bobby in Heaven and asked him to help Castiel infiltrate Heaven so he could break Metatron out of prison in order to get information about the Mark of Cain out of him. Castiel and Sam stole Metatron’s grace, rendering him mortal, and forced him to admit he lied about knowing how to remove the Mark. Rather, it would take God or Lucifer-level magic to remove the Mark. He did offer to help Castiel get his grace back, though.

Meanwhile, Rowena confronted Dean in an effort to kill him, but the Mark protected him from her magic. Crowley shared a drink with Dean after the fight, and Dean’s words made Crowley realize Rowena was a bad influence, so he kicked her out of his kingdom. She swore to burn everything he had down.

‘Supernatural’ season 10, episode 18, ‘Book of the Damned,’ synopsis

If that promo has whet your appetite, make sure to read the official synopsis for the 18th episode of the season:

“FELICIA DAY RETURNS AS CHARLIE — Charlie (guest star Felicia Day) calls Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) to tell them she found the Book of the Dead which could help remove the Mark of Cain. The Winchesters race to her after she tells them she’s been shot by a man named Jacob Styne (guest star Jeff Branson) who says the book belongs to his family and he won’t rest until he gets it back. Castiel (Misha Collins) and Metatron (guest star Curtis Armstrong) take a road trip to find Castiel’s grace but they hit a couple road bumps along the way. PJ Pesce directed this episode written by Robbie Thompson (#1018).”

If you need more goodies to tide you over, we have promotional stills from the episode as well:

We can’t help but wondering what Sam is doing, meeting with Rowena in two of the above stills. Is Sam hoping she can help remove the Mark from Dean? This seems like a potentially precarious alliance to be making.
