Supernatural season 10, episode 15, “The Things They Carried,” airs tonight, featuring the return of Cole.
The Road So Far
Previously, the Winchesters and Castiel discovered that Cain was on a killing spree. After figuring out who the next target would be, the Winchesters and Castiel grudgingly teamed up with Crowley, who was in possession of the First Blade, to trap and kill Cain.
After trapping Cain, Dean promised to give the Blade back to Crowley after his confrontation was over. He then faced off against Cain, who said he was wiping his descendants from the Earth. The Father of Murder quickly got the upper hand on Dean and was prepared to kill him to save him from killing Sam, but Dean cut Cain’s hand off before killing Cain.
Returning to his allies, Dean handed the First Blade over to Castiel, a betrayal that infuriated Crowley.

“COLE PAYS A VISIT TO THE WINCHESTERS — Despite Dean’s (Jensen Ackles) directive to forget about looking for a cure for the Mark of Cain, Sam (Jared Padalecki) continues to do research. Dean suspects Sam is hiding something but decides to focus on a new murder case where they run into Cole (guest star Travis Aaron Wade). The three team up and learn a Khan worm is infecting men and turning them into murderers. Unfortunately, the worm makes it’s way into Cole. John Badham directed this episode written by Jenny Klein (#1015).”
As you may recall, the Khan worm debuted in Supernatural season 6, episode 16, “And Then There Were None.” A parasite that can control the host it enters, the Khan worm was a creation of the Mother of All, Eve. It is vulnerable to electricity, and its presence leaves behind a black ooze.
