The Supergirl season 1 finale, “Better Angels,” brings Kara’s conflict with Non to a head as she fights to save National City.

In the first part of the two-part finale, “Myriad,” Kara was forced to deal with the consequences of Non activating Myriad, a mind control technology that put the minds of all those affected in National City toward fixing the issues facing the world. With only Cat Grant and Maxwell Lord to help her, Kara had to consider some serious potential solutions, such as bombing the city with Kryptonite and killing hundreds of thousands of people as a result.

After a pep talk from Cat Grant, Kara took a stand that she would not use killing as the potential solution. She planned to broadcast a message of hope, though she was interrupted when Non sent a mind-controlled Alex to fight her in a Kryptonite-enhanced suit.

The synopsis for the Supergirl season 1 finale reads:

“Supergirl is forced to do battle with an unexpected foe and must risk everything – including her life – to prevent Non and Indigo from destroying every person on the planet, on the first season finale of Supergirl, Monday, April 18 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.”

According to executive producer Greg Berlanti, we should expect death in the finale, “only because it would be a lot less exciting if I said no.”

Finally, we have two clips from the episode. First, we see the continuation of the fight between the Myriad-controlled Alex and Kara. Things aren’t going well for Kara, who doesn’t want to hurt her sister, but a surprise appearance looks to change the tide of the fight.

And second, we see the gathered team after the conclusion of the fight as Kara seeks to continue her original plan to broadcast hope to the citizens of National City in an effort to defeat the effects of Myriad:
