Lex Luthor is coming to National City, as Supergirl has cast an Emmy-winning actor to play the iconic role.

Jon Cryer, who won two Emmys for his role in Two and a Half Men, will play Lex. He is expected to debut in the 15th episode of the season and the role will be recurring, according to Deadline.

Cryer’s other credits include Pretty in Pink and Superman IV: The Quest For Peace, in which he played Lex Luthor’s nephew, Lenny.

Supergirl has already introduced other members of the Luthor clan, including sister Lena and mother Lillian. But it has been established that Lex has been in prison after being caught by Superman. Now, he’ll make his debut on the show to tangle with Supergirl and Lena.

“We are enormous fans of Jon Cryer, and he was instantly our dream actor to play the iconic role of Lex Luthor,” executive producers Robert Rovner and Jessica Queller said in a statement.

“Jon is a super-talent, and the fact that he played Lenny Luthor in Superman IV brings an added layer of legacy to his casting. We’re beyond thrilled to welcome Jon to the Supergirl family.”

Supergirl airs Sundays at 8:00 p.m. ET on The CW.
