The Supergirl season 1 finale, “Better Angels,” airs on April 18. After the setup of “Myriad,” we have a few questions we’re looking to have answered.

Will there be any fatalities?

After Kelly, a CatCo employee, died when Non forced her to jump off the building, Indigo appeared to kill J’onn in “Myriad.” While the promo spoiled that he’s still alive and helping Kara fight Non, that doesn’t mean there couldn’t be another death — on either side of the fight.

Kara does not believ killing is the best way to solve a problem, but leaving Non alive — even as a captive of the DEO — would likely come back to bite her in the future. Indigo also seems like a possibility to die before the end. And, of course, there is always the chance one of Kara’s loved ones lose their lives to hammer home the seriousness of the threat.

Will Kara face her cousin?

It made sense that Supergirl would need to address Superman’s whereabouts when Myriad became national news. Mind control has the potential to be a worldwide problem, after all. But the show seemingly addressed it when Kelex told Kara that Superman was off-world when she visited the Fortress of Solitude. For some reason, however, he returned and made his way to National City, only to be affected by Myriad (for dubious reasons).

What’s the point of bringing him in and having repeated mentions of him being under Non’s control if he’s not going to appear except in the distance?

How will Non be defeated?

Because, let’s be real, Kara will come out on top. This is her show, after all. However, she’s unlikely to change Non’s mind with words the way she did with Astra prior to her death. Moreover, we see in the preview that Kara will fight her uncle, but what will the outcome be? Will she defeat him and have the DEO take him prisoner? Might they find a way to send him back to the Phantom Zone? Could he die (likely not by Kara’s hands, though)?

Will James finally react to the kiss?

After getting advice from both Barry Allen and Cat about a potential relationship with James, Kara took the plunge and kissed him. However, before James could respond, Myriad was activated so we didn’t get to see if he was receptive or still scared of opening himself up to her. When Myriad inevitably is shut down, will he remember the kiss? And if so, what will that mean for Kara and James moving forward?

Will there be a cliffhanger?

Supergirl has not been renewed for a second season yet, though the prospects are promising for that. Will the writers, not knowing if they’re renewed or not, tie things up neatly or will we get a cliffhanger in the hope of getting a second season?
