Superfit Hero wants to make you a superhero — no matter what size clothes you wear.
Today, June 30, Superfit Hero kicks off its 43-day Kickstarter campaign to fund its body-positive, size-inclusive exercise clothing line.
Of course body-positive exercise wear in itself is cause for celebration, but we’re extra hot on this one due to Superfit Hero’s fandom-friendly mission statement.
Superfit Hero exercise wear, specifically designed by female athletes for female athletes, aims to make you, “feel like a superhero at the gym and beyond.”
“With Superfit Hero, I want to help other women discover their superpowers,” founder Micki Krimmel says in a statement. “I strongly believe that fitness can help women build up their confidence, strength and happiness in all aspects of their lives.”
So why focus on size inclusivity? Krimmel explains, “I found that not all ladies were getting the same opportunity [to participate in the fitness lifestyle] as the majority of active brands only make high-performance clothing up to size 12.”
In other words: how will you ever get a body like Black Widow if you’re expected to already have the measurements before you can start working out in style?!
Enter the Superfit Performance Leggings, offered in sizes XS-3XL, which are styled to mimic the look of a modern superhero.
The leggings, available in sizes 0-26, are specifically designed to make the workout experience more comfortable for women of all shapes. They offer a highly supportive, adjustable and fold-over waistband, a unique shaping pattern, and flatlock stitching to reduce chafing.
This is good news for anyone who’s ever tried to run in leggings that roll down their hips, casually jogging along, one hand fisted in the fabric to keep it in place, ignoring the judging eyes of passers-by. Not very motivating, we’re sure you’ll agree.
