The fabulous Super Mario Galaxy princess Rosalina will be joined by her faithful Luma in Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros for Wii U/3DS!
Rosalina and her Luma were confirmed for Super Smash Bros for Wii U/3DS in today’s Nintendo Direct online broadcast. She marks the nineteenth confirmed character for the fourth installment in the fighting series.
Rosalina is the princess of the galaxies who watches over Mario during his adventures in both Super Mario Galaxy titles. She has star friends named Lumas, and takes the opposite role to Peach’s damsel in distress archetype.

Other characters previously announced exclusively for Super Smash Bros for Wii U/3DS are Animal Crossing‘s The Villager, Mega Man, and the Wii Fit Trainer.
This gameplay trailer also hints that Kirby will be playable in the upcoming Mario Kart 8.
It is odd that Nintendo would choose to mix the two game series together in one trailer. Perhaps Kirby will ride on his Air Ride Machine, such as he did in his GameCube racing title, Kirby Air Ride.
